Three Sticks Wines 2018 Durell Vineyard Pinot Noir in Review "Sexy Connotations Are Apt"

“Have you Kaplowitz’d to-day?”

CATEGORY: Red
APPELLATION: Sonoma County

VINEYARD: Durell
VARIETAL: Pinot Noir
ALCOHOL: 14.1%

WEBSITE: www.threestickswines.com

NOTES:
Raspberry | Plum | Red spices

Big & elegantly-so. Bold of complexion, a regal purple w/ garnet rim. Sharp & dense to the eye. Laces the glass fully. Noses spicily on a creamy cushion. Clove, cinnamon. Sips that way, too. Out front of that are raspberries & red plums each ripe for the picking. Juicy to the point of voluptuous. A voluptuous wine.

Oh lawdy, any sexy connotations are apt. A dash of black pepper backs a lightly toasted bracing oak. Anise steers the undertones. Savory leathery oily nethers, smoky a tick. A vegetal gambit. Finishes sweetly-savory as well, and on legs that won't quit "gggrrrrrr." Supple & somehow sultry tart tannins.

Complex & nuanced ::: very ::: each slowly & languidly-so. & also excitingly. Enticingly. Full & well-rounded. Supremely balanced. The red beaded bedside lampshade in a French woman's chambers within a house of the best ill-repute. I can see it now. My, I seem to have misplaced my pants.
